Armelle Blachier began her career in intellectual property in 2001, initially working in-house for a major French luxury group. In 2003, she moved into private practice, joining several IP law firms, where she continued to develop her expertise. She joined Novagraaf in 2025, working as a Trademark & Design Attorney and Team Manager.
Career history
Armelle holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from the Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada), as well as a postgraduate degree (DESS) in Industrial Property and New Technologies from CUERPI – Université de Grenoble. She has been a French Trademark and Design Attorney (INPI) and a European Trademark and Design Attorney (EUIPO) since 2005.
Memberships
Armelle has been actively involved with the CNCPI (National Institute of French IP Attorneys) for several years.
She served as Co-Chair of the “Future of the Profession” Committee in 2023-2024, and since 2025, she has been Co-Chair of the “AI Tools & Modernisation of IP Firms” Committee.
She is also a member of APRAM (Association of Practitioners in Trademark and Design Law).
Areas of expertise
Armelle is involved in all stages of intellectual property rights management, from creation and valuation (filing, portfolio assessment, contracts) to enforcement and defence (cease-and-desist letters, oppositions, infringement seizures, pre-litigation procedures, negotiation, administrative proceedings, and infringement actions).
Her areas of practice include trademarks, designs, copyright, contracts, unfair competition and domain names.
