Career history
Natalia holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Knowledge Management from Maastricht University and is a specialist in Industrial Property, Copyright, and New Technologies from Universidad Externado de Colombia. She has also pursued advanced studies in Entertainment Law at Universidad de los Andes, Colombia, and obtained her law degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia.
Her professional career includes several prominent roles in Colombia, such as Associate Attorney, Legal Consultant, and External Counsel for Intellectual Property matters, collaborating with various esteemed law firms. Natalia also served as a Trademark Examining Attorney at the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce, where she was responsible for the substantive examination of trademark applications. She also worked as a Legal Analyst at Darts-IP, a global intellectual property case law database, where she developed extensive expertise in analyzing decisions rendered by Trademark Offices and Courts of Appeal.
In 2022, Natalia joined Brandstock as part of the legal team responsible for managing worldwide trademark portfolios for companies in the fashion and food and beverage industries.
In the academic sphere, Natalia has been a guest professor, teaching Trademark Search Modules at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels at Universidad Externado de Colombia. Currently, she serves as a visiting professor, teaching the EUTM Regime Module for the Intellectual Property postgraduate program.
