Niels van der Lee

Niels van der Lee studied Law at Utrecht University, specialising in intellectual property, before pursuing a Master's degree in Internet, ICT and IP Law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Career history

Niels completed internships during and after his studies at several renowned IP law firms. He has been working at Novagraaf since 2021, where he focuses on corporate and global clients. In early 2025, Niels successfully completed the Benelux Trademarks and Designs Attorneys’ professional training programme (BBMM).

Work highlights

Niels' daily activities include advising on trademark availability and registrability, trademark searches, filing strategies, negotiating infringement cases, conducting and advising on opposition proceedings, conflict resolution, drafting coexistence agreements, and managing IP portfolios.
